Notifications

Claro + Slack

Keep your security team informed in the channel they already watch, without asking them to check another dashboard.

Overview

Claro can push notifications and alerts, such as campaign activity or a new phishing report, into your chosen Slack channels. This means the people running your human risk program do not need to log into Claro to know that a campaign has started, finished, or that an employee just reported a suspicious email. It fits the way security teams already work: fast, visible, in the tools they are watching all day.

Because the notifications are configured per event type and per channel, you can route the alerts that matter to the right audience, for example sending high-signal phish reports to an incident-response channel while campaign summaries go to a broader security team channel. This keeps each channel purposeful, so people trust the alerts instead of muting them.

The value of a Slack alert is speed. When an employee reports what looks like a live phishing attempt, the notification reaches your responders in near real time, letting them investigate while the threat is still fresh rather than discovering it in a report the next morning. For campaign operations, the same immediacy tells your team the moment a send begins or completes, so nobody has to sit refreshing a dashboard to know where a program stands.

Slack notifications complement the Claro admin console rather than replace it. The alert is a lightweight heads-up designed to trigger the right next action; the full detail, filtering, timeline, and historical data continue to live in Claro. That separation keeps your Slack channels readable and calm while ensuring the deep investigation surface is always one click away when someone needs to dig in. For distributed and hybrid teams, the channel also becomes a shared record of what happened and when: a campaign completion or a phishing report posted to a channel gives everyone the same context at the same moment, without a manager relaying updates one message at a time, which is especially valuable during an active incident when several people need to coordinate quickly off the same signal.

How it works

  • Connect a Slack channel

Configure the Slack webhook or channel destination in Claro's notification settings so alerts have somewhere to go. A Slack workspace admin typically authorizes this.

  • Choose which events notify

Select the event types you want surfaced, such as campaign start, campaign completion, or new phish-reporting activity, so each channel stays focused.

  • Route alerts to the right channel

Map different event types to different channels, for example directing high-signal phish reports to incident response and campaign summaries to the wider security team.

  • Alerts post automatically

As matching events occur in Claro, a formatted notification is posted to the connected Slack channel in near real time, ready to read at a glance.

  • Drill down in the console

Use the alert as a prompt, then open the Claro admin console for the full detail, filtering, and history behind the event when deeper investigation is needed.

Frequently asked questions
