Claro + Microsoft Teams

Bring campaign and reporting alerts into the Teams channel your security group already lives in.

Overview

Claro can post notifications and alerts, such as campaign start and completion or a new phishing report, directly into Microsoft Teams channels. This keeps the people managing your security awareness program in the loop without requiring them to open a separate dashboard every time something happens. For teams that run their day-to-day communication in Teams, this makes Claro activity a natural part of the existing workflow.

As with any notification channel, alerts are configured by event type, so you can decide what is worth surfacing in Teams and what stays in the Claro console for deeper review. This keeps the channel useful and not noisy, which is what makes people pay attention to it in the first place.

Speed is the point of a Teams alert. When an employee reports a suspicious email that turns out to be a live threat, the notification reaches your responders in near real time so they can act while it matters, rather than finding out hours later. For program operations, the same immediacy confirms the moment a campaign starts or finishes, so your team always knows the current state without asking or refreshing.

Teams notifications are a heads-up layer, not a replacement for the Claro admin console. The alert exists to prompt the right next step; the full detail, drill-down, filtering, and history remain in Claro. That keeps your Teams channels clean and scannable while ensuring the complete investigation view is always available when someone needs to go deeper. Because Teams is where many organizations already coordinate day to day, posting Claro activity there also creates a shared, timestamped record that everyone sees at once, so a manager does not have to relay each update by hand and responders can align quickly off a single signal during an active event.

How it works

  • Connect a Teams channel

Configure the Microsoft Teams webhook or channel destination in Claro's notification settings. A Teams channel owner or admin typically authorizes this.

  • Choose which events notify

Select the event types you want posted, such as campaign start, campaign completion, or new phishing reports, so the channel stays focused and useful.

  • Route alerts to the right channel

Send different event types to different channels, for example directing high-signal reports to incident response and campaign summaries to the broader security team.

  • Alerts post automatically

Matching events in Claro are posted to the connected Teams channel in near real time, formatted for quick reading at a glance.

  • Drill down in the console

Treat the alert as a prompt, then open the Claro admin console for the full detail, filtering, and history whenever an event needs deeper investigation.

Frequently asked questions

  • Yes, notification routing is configurable per event type, so you can split campaign alerts and reporting alerts across different channels if needed.
